  • Brews For Youse Vol 4: Space Cadet Brewing

Brews For Youse Vol 4: Space Cadet Brewing

In this edition of Brews For Youse, the Altered Judgement crew heads out of this world to review Space Cadet Brewing out of Philadelphia! Founded by Richie Tevelin—well known across the local craft beer festival circuit for rocking a full NASA space suit—Space Cadet brews ultra-small batch, one-and-done releases featuring killer comic and sci-fi can art. Richie is also the host of the Brewdad podcast, making this a true podcast-family connection.

After scooping up a couple of cans from Bound Beverage, we crack into two distinct IPAs to see how they stack up:

QPHL51 (6.4% ABV): A crisp, golden West Coast IPA brewed with Centennial, Cascade, and Chinook hops. Expect classic piney bitterness backed by punchy notes of grapefruit and citrus.

De-Evolution: A cloudy, beautifully hazy IPA loaded with Citra, Galaxy, and sweet orange peel. Incredibly well-balanced with bright citrus aroma, smooth sweetness, and zero harsh bite.

Grab a glass, check out Space Cadet’s pop-ups (just look for the guy in the space suit!), and let us know what you think in the comments.

Brews For Youse Vol 3: Five Corners Beverage CO

In this episode of Brews For Youse, the crew takes a break from the usual local craft beers to explore the rapidly growing world of craft non-alcoholic beverages. Connecting with another standout brand from Chicago, we taste-test the lineup from Five Corners Beverage Co.—a family-owned, independent brand founded by husband-and-wife team Benno Nelson and Shelby King.

Five Corners crafts complex, ready-to-drink NA cocktails designed to satisfy all five core flavor profiles: sweet, savory, salty, sour, and bitter. Inspired by global traditions and made with real, fresh ingredients, these drinks are anything but generic.

  • Brews For Youse Vol 2: Concordance Ferments

Brews For Youse Vol 2: Concordance Ferments

In this episode of Brews For Youse, the hosts review beers from Concordance Ferments located in Hatboro, Pennsylvania. They discuss the deep Revolutionary War history behind the brewery's 200-year-old mill location, its cozy tavern atmosphere, family-friendly space, and modern brewing setup. Meeting with owner Abe and head brewer Dave, the team samples three distinct craft beers: Afternoon Tea – A 4.1% ABV Norse table beer with subtle tea, floral, and sweet notes. Harmony – A 4.5% ABV Raspberry Passion Fruit Berliner Weisse featuring a natural fresh raspberry profile. The Homestead – A 6.2% ABV Bière de Garde with a rich, malty aroma and smooth finish. They also touch on the brewery's new canning initiative in partnership with Crooked Eye Brewery and celebrate Concordance Ferments winning Best New Brewery in Philadelphia for 2026 by Philadelphia Magazine.
