Brews For Youse Vol 4: Space Cadet Brewing
In this edition of Brews For Youse, the Altered Judgement crew heads out of this world to review Space Cadet Brewing out of Philadelphia! Founded by Richie Tevelin—well known across the local craft beer festival circuit for rocking a full NASA space suit—Space Cadet brews ultra-small batch, one-and-done releases featuring killer comic and sci-fi can art. Richie is also the host of the Brewdad podcast, making this a true podcast-family connection.
After scooping up a couple of cans from Bound Beverage, we crack into two distinct IPAs to see how they stack up:
QPHL51 (6.4% ABV): A crisp, golden West Coast IPA brewed with Centennial, Cascade, and Chinook hops. Expect classic piney bitterness backed by punchy notes of grapefruit and citrus.
De-Evolution: A cloudy, beautifully hazy IPA loaded with Citra, Galaxy, and sweet orange peel. Incredibly well-balanced with bright citrus aroma, smooth sweetness, and zero harsh bite.
Grab a glass, check out Space Cadet’s pop-ups (just look for the guy in the space suit!), and let us know what you think in the comments.
